Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OnlineOffice website at onlineoffice.app and all tools offered there ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Operator
The Service is operated by Florian Fischer, Steig 4, 88167 Grünenbach, Germany. Full contact details are available on the Imprint page.
2. Nature of the Service
OnlineOffice is a free suite of productivity tools that run entirely in the user's browser. Documents and data you process are not transmitted to any server; see the Privacy Policy for details.
3. Free use, no account
The Service is provided free of charge. No registration, sign-up or payment is required. There is no "user account" in the technical sense, and therefore no deletion or export procedure beyond clearing your browser's site data.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and not to:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape or otherwise misuse the Service in a way that degrades it for other users.
- Use the Service to process content that infringes third-party rights (copyright, trademarks, privacy, …) or that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or the service-worker update flow.
You remain fully responsible for any file, document or data you process with the Service.
5. Intellectual property
The Service — including its interface design, source code, logos and textual content — is protected by copyright and related rights. Unless stated otherwise, all rights are reserved. Third-party open-source components are used under their respective licences; see the repository or documentation for the current list.
You retain all rights in the content you process with the Service. Processing happens locally; no licence in your content is granted to the operator.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. Individual tools, features or pages may be added, changed or removed at any time, for instance when an upstream library changes its API or becomes unmaintained. Planned or unplanned downtime does not give rise to compensation claims.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law the operator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of conversion results, or non-infringement. Nothing in this section limits your mandatory consumer rights.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profit or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Service. Liability for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.
9. Privacy
Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read that policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
These Terms can be updated to reflect changes in the Service or the applicable law. The version currently in force is always the one published on this page; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected. Where permitted by law the exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms is the operator's place of business.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the economic intent of the original.
